Make Your Case At Planet Forward
We're proud to announce that Planet Forward, the new web site and TV show produced in association with Public Agenda, is now officially in orbit. For a planet, that's a good thing, and Planet Forward.org and Planet Forward, the April 15th PBS Television special, are good things as well - for experts, citizens and policymakers who have a unique opportunity to talk to each other about one of the biggest public policy challenges ever.
Should we be moving away from using fossil fuels, and if so, how should we do it? That's the question we're asking experts and ordinary citizens - yes, that means you, too: please check our content submission guidelines and send your ideas to PlanetForward.org - and they are posting their answers, in the form of videos, written essays, songs, poems, and more.
Unlike most TV shows, with a web site to support what viewers saw, Planet Forward is a web site with a TV show: the debate begins online, continues on television, at which point some ideas will make their way to the White House, as the discussion shifts back to the web.
You won't want to miss some of the viewpoints posted at PlanetForward.org so far: farmers in Nebraska and Sioux Indians in South Dakota enjoying a futuristic crop; an internationally-acclaimed solar power expert who explains that even if oil were more plentiful, it's time to shift away from internal combustion engines; a NASA scientist who suggests tax policy as a way to change behavior on fossil fuels; former EPA chief Christie Whitman on the role of nuclear power; and a scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory who says plug-in cars can have batteries so powerful, the energy could be used for other things besides running the vehicle.
Some of the best ideas and their contributors will be on the Planet Forward PBS special (check local listings for exact show times) on April 15th. Hosted by Emmy Award-winning CNN veteran Frank Sesno, Planet Forward is produced by The George Washington University Public Affairs Project and Nebraska Educational Telecommunications in collaboration with Public Agenda and Sunburst Creative Group.

I DEVELOPED A NEW CONCEPT FOR A BUILD ANYWARE, FREE STANDING, SELF CONTAINED HYDRO POWER SYSTEM. PROBLEM IS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT OR WHO TO CONTACT THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING IT.
