Nora Benavidez

Development Associate

Nora Benavidez helps Public Agenda in our development and fundraising efforts. From researching funding possibilities to assisting in grant-writing, she works with executive staff to pursue and secure support for projects related to our varied research and public engagement initiatives.

Nora joined Public Agenda in 2007, initially working with the editorial staff at PublicAgenda.org. Previously, she served as a writing assistant for undergraduate and graduate students at New York University. Nora's background also includes part-time work for Human Rights First, where she advocated for better media coverage and legal justice for human rights defenders in Latin America and the Middle East.

Nora graduated with a Bachelor's degree from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she combined the study of inequality and social change with practical examples of structural and institutional violence.
