Liz Swinehart
A member of our public opinion research team, Liz Swinehart has a background in experimental and clinical psychology. She also has experience in designing and analyzing studies and working with both academics and nonprofits involved in empowering and assisting communities.
While earning her M.A. at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Liz designed and conducted a study on alcohol use and risk-taking behavior. She was also a research and teaching assistant, both during her graduate work and as an undergraduate at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, where she co-authored a journal article on the benefits companion animals can have for humans.
Liz also works part time as a research associate at Catalyst, a New York-based nonprofit dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in business. Previously, she was an administrator and records specialist at Youth Opportunities, a nonprofit community mental health agency in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
