In the fifty years since its founding, Public Agenda has built a reputation for conducting high-quality, independent, nonpartisan opinion research on challenges facing communities and society. Our capacities include quantitative (survey research) and qualitative methodologies (focus groups, in-depth interviewing, diary studies, and media analysis).

Our research elicits people’s perspectives, attitudes, and experiences on critical and complex issues impacting their lives and communities. In areas including health, education, democracy, and civic engagement, we focus on needs, challenges, and solutions.

We partner with foundations, government, media organizations, corporations, educational institutions, and select third-sector organizations seeking insight into evolving public opinion. We work closely with partners to ensure our work helps advance their strategic priorities.

Our team is committed to delivering insights that our partners and other stakeholders can apply in the real world. We distill findings into formats such as reports, briefings, and toolkits. Findings from our research have informed institutional practices and policies, state and federal regulation, public engagement strategies, and philanthropic priorities.
